  January Ranch Life by admin on Jan.31, 2004, under Seasons January Cold nights and Moderate Days With an average low of around 20 degrees and an average high around 50 degrees, I guess you could say the Ranch has moderate winters. It still feels pretty chilly to us though… Neighbor’s Place January, 2004. This is our neighbor’s place, about 1 – 1/2 miles down the road.   October 2003 at the Ranch by admin on Oct.18, 2003, under Seasons October Cool nights and warm days With just a little nippy temperatures in the morning, fall is a great time to be at the ranch. The days warm up really nice, and the sunshine is plentiful. Campsite October 18th, 2003. Morning Our campsite is located on the “Little House” site.   Hauling Water from Town by admin on Aug.30, 2003, under Area You can get 50 gallons of water in Seligman for a quarter, which is inserted into a mechanism that resembles a do-it-yourself carwash controller.   Water Standpipe in Seligman The Standpipe is reached by turning south by the Copper Cart Restaurant, turn east at the Tee, go about 2 blocks. You can’t miss it. The standpipe is near the railroad tracks. It is very easy to use, but the water comes out too fast to easily fill small containers. We just use a couple of 32 gallon plastic trash containers, filling them less than half full, so they aren’t too top heavy.   Filling up with Water

  Getting There… by admin on Jul.31, 2003, under Directions The property is about 15 miles west of Seligman, which is about halfway between Flagstaff and Kingman, Arizona. It is approximately 45 miles SouthEast of the Havasupi Falls of the Grand Canyon. The nearest town is Seligman, Arizona.   Overview Map The Juniper Valley Ranch is located about 15 miles west of Seligman, Arizona, about 4 miles north of Interstate 40.   A closer look The Ranch is most easily accessed via exit 109 on Interstate 40.   Even Closer... Exit 109 from the westbound lane of I-40 (Anvil Rock Road).   Exit 109 Here is what it looks like at the top of the exit.
