December 2011 at the Ranch
December 2011 at the Ranch by rdpecken on Dec.12, 2011, under Seasons I went up to the Ranch on Dec 9th – 11th to work the ARRL 10-meter ham radio contest. I was surprised to see that after several days of near 50 degree highs, there was still a considerable amount on snow on the ground. The trip in was uneventful until the last mile before our place, then it got real messy with slippery mud (from Bullit Road North and East). Anyway, I made it in and had a great weekend with highs near 50 again each day.
